Crime Scenes must be released by the police before decontamination is possible.

Private Family Services

Once the initial call has been made to Total Decon Inc.™ TDI will ask for some very basic information while on the phone.

1.Nature of Call (Suicide, Homicide, Unattended Death, Meth Lab, etc..)

2. Location of Bio-Hazard

3. Contact Person and Phone Number

In some cases speaking of the incident for the family is just too difficult, give us the address, a way in and we will take care of the rest.

Once the basic information as been obtained we will dispatch a supervisor to the location to obtain a work evaluation plan and a bid for the family. We will always take the time to sit down and explain the contract for services and answer any questions the family may have.

We will also make any contact to law enforcement for information relating to the scene and make sure the scene has been released.

Once the contract has been signed, we will dispatch our bio-crew to begin work. In most cases we will complete work within one business day, if for any reason it takes longer, we will not leave the scene until it is finished unless otherwise pre-arranged. In cases of severe ordor abatement, decontamination may require 2-3 days of treatment.

Our first goal is the family, our bio-crew will help with obtaining any special family items, pictures, papers, anything the family requires, if the scene has been deemed a serious biohazard.

What about the personal belongings?
Total Decon Inc™ will work safely with the family to clean (with in reason) any personal property that may be desired by the family. In the event an item can not be clean completely, (portraits, photos, quilts, paintings, etc.) TDI will package the item in a Bio-Hazardous bag, label it, and give it to the family for further cleaning. TDI can also remove ALL belongings from the dwelling and dispose of them with the families directive.

It is not recommended that any untrained person place themselves in an area that a bio-hazard has occured for any reason. TDI will get ALL articles on location requested by the family immediately upon request.

Do you repair/replace what has been damaged?
No, we are only trained to decontaminate and remove the biological material from the premises. Many times while tracking the material we are required to remove carpet, sheetrock, wood flooring, furniture, personal belongings, bedding, clothes or anything that has trace amounts of biological tissue anywhere present. All duties will be approved (when possible) by the family for being started. We can assist with any sub-contracting needs.

Can I sell / rent or re-occupy the premises?
Yes you can sell and/or re-occupy the premises immediately once we have completed our decontamination process.

Do you take HomeOwners Insurance. Yes, let TDI file it for you. We have worked with many insurance adjusters to help families recover the expenses incured from bio-hazard decontamination. TDI will provide not only invoices, written and verbal descriptions to your insurance company. TDI will also provide a complete photo log and video of the clean up process. (These items are always available to the family at anytime.)
